The NPORS Crawler Crane Training Course aims to equip delegates with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate a crawler crane, in compliance with NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) standards.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the operation and safety protocols involved in using a crawler crane.
- Develop practical skills to handle a crawler crane efficiently in various working environments.
- Be prepared for the NPORS assessment, ensuring they meet the industry’s safety and operational standards.
Certification:
Successful delegates will be issued with an NPORS Operators Card, valid for 5 years, confirming their competency in operating a crawler crane.
Course Duration:
The length of the course is flexible, depending on:
- The experience level of the delegates.
- The number of participants.
- The ratio of delegates to machines per instructor.
It is recommended that all delegates complete the NPORS-specific health and safety test prior to assessment.
NPORS Assessment:
The NPORS assessment will test both theoretical knowledge and practical ability. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded the NPORS Operators Card, valid for 5 years.
Requirements:
- All delegates must bring valid photo identification, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Training can also be conducted at customer premises if the facilities meet NPORS testing criteria.
