The aim of the NPORS Construction Site Safety Scheme (CSSS) is to equip delegates with the essential health and safety knowledge and skills necessary for operating safely on a construction site. This includes training for operatives, supervisors, and managers to ensure they understand and manage risks and environmental matters effectively, all in line with NPORS standards.

Course Summary
The NPORS Construction Site Safety Scheme includes a variety of courses tailored to different roles on a construction site. These courses are approved by CITB, allowing for grant claims:
- Site Safety Awareness (SSA) – 7 hours
- Construction Site Safety Supervisor (CSSS) – 15 hours
- Construction Site Safety Supervisor Refresher (CSSS R) – 7.5 hours
- Construction Site Safety Manager (CSSM) – 37.5 hours
- Construction Site Safety Manager Refresher (CSSM R) – 15 hours
All courses within the scheme are recognised by BuildUK.

- The need to prevent accidents
- Health and safety law (Legal requirements and liabilities)
- How your role fits into the control and management of the site
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Performing safely and asking for advice
- How to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
- Individual responsibilities for your own safety and the safety of others
Course Duration
The duration of the course varies depending on the specific role and the course undertaken. For instance, the Site Safety Awareness Course is 7 hours, while the Construction Site Safety Manager Course takes 37.5 hours to complete.
Health and Safety Training and Testing
On successful completion of the NPORS assessment, delegates will receive the NPORS Operators Card, valid for 5 years.
Testing / Certification
Delegates must complete NPORS-specific health and safety tests as part of the course.

All delegates must bring valid photo identification (Passport or Driving Licence) to the course.

Where does this training take place?
Training is conducted at our approved test training centre in Knockdrin, Co. Offaly, Ireland. The centre is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the M4 motorway, with easy access to Dublin and Belfast.
Alternatively, training can be delivered at customer premises, provided the facilities meet test criteria.
