The National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety (Irish Level 5) enables candidates to showcase their competence in job-specific skills relevant to their area of work and expertise.
This qualification covers key areas such as ensuring personal actions reduce health and safety risks, developing and implementing procedures to safely manage work operations, promoting a positive health and safety culture, and conducting comprehensive workplace risk assessments.

Progression Opportunities

Admission is at the discretion of the training center. Candidates should be employed or in a placement where they are performing relevant tasks that allow them to gather the necessary evidence to meet the qualification requirements.
No prior qualifications are required, although experience or knowledge in health and safety or related sectors would be beneficial.
