The Safety Harness Awareness Course is designed to instruct participants on how to select, inspect, and safely use harnesses and associated equipment when operating a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP). An IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) half-day course is also available. Candidates can choose to combine harness training with the JPC Plant & Safety MEWP course on the same day if desired.

Course Objectives

The primary goal of this course is to equip delegates with essential knowledge to:

• Conduct pre-use checks effectively.
• Utilize and store safety harnesses properly when operating an MEWP.

Certification

Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a JPC Plant & Safety or IPAF Certificate of Training, valid for five years, based on their choice. Please note that IPAF certification must be requested at the time of booking.

Trainee Requirements

• Participants must be at least 16 years old

On-Site Training: We also offer on-site training at your premises across Ireland and the UK, subject to minimum participant requirements. A suitable room for the theory section is needed, along with Safety Harnesses and Lanyards for the practical portion.
