Course Description
DAY 1 – Low and Medium Risk Confined Spaces:
- Definition and identification of confined spaces and associated hazards.
- Awareness of hazardous atmospheres, access equipment, and escape sets.
- Implementation of safe work practices and procedures.
- Emergency planning and rescue protocols.
- Utilization of gas detection equipment and hygiene control.
- Overview of relevant legislation and regulations.
DAY 2 – High Risk Confined Spaces:
- Utilization of Full Working and Airline Breathing Apparatus.
- Understanding respirator rates and working durations of SCBA.
- Practical application of working breathing apparatus.
- Provision of additional Airline Breathing Apparatus upon request.
Training Methodologies:
- PowerPoint presentations supplemented with instructional videos.
- Interactive problem-solving sessions and case studies.
- Personal issuance of equipment and instructions.
- Simulation exercises conducted in a Confined Space Simulator.
